What's the fastest way to lose weight?
Our lives are so busy nowadays that so many people are searching out unrealistic ‘quick fixes’ to achieving their health and weight loss goals. Taking a little extra time to think about just 2 things beforehand can make the difference between seeing not only 'fast' results but also long lasting results 💪
1) Work out your numbers 📝
When looking to lose weight it is important to look at the amount of calories you are taking in. This needs to be done in partnership with ensuring you are eating a variety of nutrients (vitamins, minerals, carbs, protein and fats each day).
Weight loss is a simple sum... calories in need to be less than calories being expended. 2) Be active! 🏃
By being active you are burning off extra calories therefore speeding up your weight loss results. Remember that, to lose weight calories in needs to be less than calories being expended. If you can increase the calories being burned by your body then this increased deficit will lead to quicker and better results. We are not saying you need to be in the gym for 2 hours each day. All we are saying is you need to be active. You could do a 15 minute HIIT workout at home, play football with the kids, go for a brisk 15 minute walk or do a resistance workout at the gym. Whatever you choose to do is up to you. You just need to be active enough to the point that your heart rate is raised and you are slightly out of breath 😅
A gentle stroll or a leisurely push of the hoover round the front room doesn't count! 😂
